MISSIONS OF THE PRESIDENTIAL COUNCIL FOR INVESTMENT
The PCI’s missions are divided into four main areas:
- To provide, through its reflections and recommendations, an impetus for the development and implementation of the most appropriate policies to stimulate investment and economic growth;
- Use its political authority and its capacity to stimulate reflection and action, to support investment promotion initiatives, as well as the political support of investors;
- Monitor the evolution of investment ideas and projects, as well as investments in progress or made. This monitoring will be carried out by the Permanent Secretariat on behalf of the PCI and its President, relying on the productions of the Investment Observatory, those of the competent ministries and meetings with the investors and promoters concerned;
- Contribute to “de-congestion” investment projects, particularly those of a large volume and/or strategic nature.
